Week 15 - my attempt at a standard

for Andrea (who will actually make this sound as I heard it in my head)

"Nothing Matters Without You "

Some they say “don’t think of her”
If that works for you, be my guest
Some may say that misery’s less than loneliness

Soon you’ll see our love was true.
And when you do you’ll return

When they ask, “What’s the matter?”
Well I tell them nothing’s wrong
‘cause, nothing matters without you.

They say a broken heart’s all but shattered
They that love is often less than true
I told them what we shared was unimagined
That the love I waited for was overdue

Some may say, “you’re such fool”
Well it’s better that than not
Then they claim that love’s not for the faint of heart

I dream soon you’ll come back to me,
To show me you’re the one

When they ask, “What’s the matter?”
Well I tell them nothing’s wrong
‘cause, nothing matters without you.
